Why OBELIX? For his high level of milk production.
Because OBELIX is over 1900 kg in German proofs. But he also has an excellent economic index and good milking speed (118 in both).
You can find a good example in the Demling GBR herd. In 2024, the Demling farm was 1st German Herd in terms of average milk production per cow, with over 15,500kg. Obelix is the most represented bull in the pedigrees of this herd, both in the heifers and in the cows in 3rd or 4th lactations. OBELIX is a full part of this farm success, not only for milk production but also in type. Born in 2018, the bull is A2A2, daughter proven and he's over 2100 lbs milk in the American proofs.
